Privacy policy
Controller
Zabit BV, Kiewitstraat 196 G, 3500 Hasselt, Belgium (VAT BE 0802.565.627), trading as CoinTainerz, is the controller for personal data processed through cointainerz.com and our sales, hosting and support activities. Contact: privacy@cointainerz.com.
What we collect
Contact and company details you give us (name, e-mail, phone, company, VAT number, site country); quote and hosting request content; correspondence including WhatsApp; contract and invoicing data; technical data when you visit the site (IP address, browser, pages viewed); CubeApp account data (login, 2FA device, role, activity log) for clients with a portal account.
Why and on what basis
To answer requests and prepare quotes (pre-contractual steps); to deliver, install, host and support (contract); to invoice and keep accounts (legal obligation); to secure the site and portal and log control actions (legitimate interest and contract); to send occasional product updates to existing clients (legitimate interest, opt-out any time); analytics and non-essential cookies only with your consent.
CubeApp operational data
Telemetry from containers (power, hash rate, temperatures, alarms, commands) is operational data about equipment, not about individuals, except the audit log that records which user issued a command. We keep audit logs for the duration of the contract plus 5 years for accountability.
Sharing
Processors that host our systems (EU-based hosting providers), e-mail and CRM tools, accounting and payment providers, transport companies for delivery, and our sister brand DataCubes and parent Zabit BV for shared administration. We do not sell personal data. Transfers outside the EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Requests that do not lead to a contract: 24 months. Contract and invoicing data: 7 years (Belgian accounting law). Portal accounts: duration of the contract plus 12 months. Website analytics: 14 months.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Visitor statistics are collected with Matomo, hosted by us in the EU and configured without cookies: the IP address is shortened before storage, and no profile is built. Live price feeds (BTC, network hashrate) are fetched by our server, not by your browser. Should we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and withdrawal of consent, via privacy@cointainerz.com. You can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels).
Security
2FA is mandatory on every CubeApp login. Containers connect outbound-only over TLS; no inbound ports. Data at rest on edge servers is encrypted. Access to client data is role-based and logged.
Changes
We update this policy when our services or the law change. The date above shows the current version; material changes are announced to portal users at login.
